Newly Appointed Pakistan Twenty20 Captain Shahid Khan Afridi has said he is not worried, about the fact that leading spinner Saeed Ajmal will not be playing against Australia . Afridi, who was named T20 captain recently spoke about the left-arm spinner Raza Hasan, who is expected to take the place of banned Saeed Ajmal.
“We all know the importance of Saeed Ajmal very well, but I am very confident about Raza Hasan” Afridi said. “As a captain, if I look at my bowling team, I know we will miss Ajmal but we have a good group of people, so I am very confident of bowling lineup, I am very optimistic Raza Hasan will perform well. He has got immense talented we have some other players how have everything to perform against Australia.
The 22-year-old Hassan has played seven T20 internationals, will be in the 2012 World Twenty20. He has displayed very impressive performance, but did not play at the international level for two years after he hurt his plate in his spine. He will assist Afridi and experienced Mohammad Hafeez in the rotatingpart in one T20 and three ODIs. AlthoughAjmal’s 141 wicketsmake himthe leadingwicket taker in Pakistani side but Afridi and hafeez are both not far behind.
